Daniel Nishikawa, head trainer and owner of Focus Athletics, got his start growing up in Hawaii where his father instilled a love for health and fitness in him at an early age. He then moved to California to further his career where he met his wife and co-owner Taylor Nishikawa. They both share a passion for fitness and helping others which led them to open Focus Athletics in June of 2017.
Their contagious personalities have drawn the attention of many, and their nonstop energy is infectious. They love everything active and adventurous, and want to share their experiences and knowledge with those they encounter.
Their desire is to see lives changed and to transform them into the healthiest versions of themselves. Helping people heal from injuries, reach their goals, overcome obstacles, break plateaus and create new healthy habits for the rest of your life is the goal of Focus Athletics.
We would love to hear your thoughts, concerns and ideas in regard to your body, what you enjoy and what you prefer to stay away from. Then we can create a workout or nutrition plan that implements what you are comfortable with and what you desire.
Our mission is to come alongside you in your journey and make it a memorable experience, full of laughter and joy. You aren’t just getting a trainer – you are getting a friend who cares about your wellbeing inside and out.
Focus Athletics is a committed team dedicated to offering the highest quality of services in personal training, nutrition and overall fitness.
Focus Athletics is currently working out of Newport Workout gym off of 16th Street and Dover in Newport Beach. It is a fully equipped gym, for just trainer and client access only so there is no heavy foot traffic, perfect for private and small group training. There is also the ability to do indoor and outdoor training for those that have such a preference. Focus Athletics will be opening their own gym in Fall of 2018.
